Mission Statement
Family & Friends of Homicide Victims come together to share experiences, knowledge and peaceful strategies to foster a safer, stronger community.
Who We Are
We are a group of individuals who have lost a loved one to murder. We may or may not agree on the death penalty in theory, but we do believe that our time, money and resources are better spent on victim services, community- based prevention programs, and investing in our youth.
What We Do
- We work together with community based victim service providers.
- We share our stories and experiences.
- We find commonality and programs which help us build communities.
- We work with a lot of different agencies to understand, improve and develop programs that will be beneficial and help us, “The Ones Left Behind”.
- We strive to help each other regain that sense of being safe.
- We are also involved with restorative justice practices and advocacy programs.
- We may not have been able to prevent the death of our loved one, but we can certainly bring meaning to their life.

Can you tell me if there is a similar group in Schenectady?
Thank you,

Hi. I personally do not know of one in that area…in fact, many of our members are from the Schenectady area. Feel free to come by any meeting at the Pastoral Center. We have been around for a few years but are still trying to get this site and blog up and running. You can contact Marie Verzulli for more information off the website. Thanks for stopping by.
